Outside the Ballroom: Winter Park Farmer's Market

The Winter Park Farmer's Market is truly Winter Parks hidden gem for Wedding venues. Doubling as a farmer's market (most Saturday mornings) to snag exceptional cheese by day and a venue for events by nightfall, it's highly under the radar.

With exposed ceilings, brick walls, and romantic string lighting the venue is enchanting, sultry, and natural. And that's just the inside! Outdoors is rich with greenery, more brick walls, barn doors and beautiful for the ceremony, receptions, or just photographs.

Every review written about the Winter Park Farmer's Market boasts about how friendly the staff was and how they couldn't be happier with their unique choice!

One of the best features about the Farmer's Market is it's a blank canvas. While it has beautiful architecture and a contemporary feel, it can be transformed to whatever your creative heart desires. Pilster Photography has seen the Market molded into a scene out of an Edgar Allen Poe novel. A complete horror story wedding complimented by the historic design of the venue.

Tents outdoors for the reception or the ceremony on the porch is also an option, with gorgeous forestry, it's the perfect backdrop for a wedding.

The reception hall reminds me of the old warehouse from the end of the classic movie Footloose. The kids from the movie transformed the warehouse and made it their own with just a few simple touches. What made the warehouse perfect as a dance hall was that it was incredibly spacious. The same goes for the reception hall at the Farmer's Market, the bride can have her choice of set up style, and the guests can get down with their bad selves on the roomy dance floor!

The Farmer's Market is a great choice for couples who have a caterer in mind, there are no restrictions on catering! There is a prep kitchen which includes commercial refrigeration and ice machines.

The Farmer's Market was once an old train depot, which makes it an amazing canvas for vintage photographs. It still sits next to active train tracks. You may have to pause during your ceremony as the train goes by or maybe you will time it for the first kiss!

Winter Park Civic Center, Part 2 of 2 Ceremony and Reception for Wedding of Desiree and Ngyuen told by Associate Storyteller James

Desiree and Nguyen were are a young a vibrant couple, full of energy and life, shining through their pictures. Before their wedding the couple recently had returned from Greece, where they spent much of their time doing their favorite activity, cycling. This is no secret that the couple loves cycling, seen in many aspects of their wedding including the wedding topper- a wire figure of cyclists and the napkins had stitched bicycles. The lighting peaking through the stained glass in St. Margaret Mary church where the couple wed was beautiful for photographing the brides dress. The reception was held at the Winter Park Civic Center.

You will also notice this is a fusion wedding. They blended Vietnamese into a traditional American wedding.
