Dubsdread Ballroom wedding, in Orlando, Florida of Kristen and Mitchell

Kristen and Mitch have worked in every facet of the restaurant industry. It's only natural that they met that way. Mitch was running a nightclub and looking bartop girls, and Kristen walked in.

It's ironic that she's a manager now with an old friend of Mitch's dad and Mitch is a waiter.

Mitch's dad, Pat Casey, is actually one of the co-owner's of Dubsdread, so it was an honor for Cathie, the catering manager, to refer them to me.

When I first started talking to them on the phone I was truly falling in love with their wedding. Mitch said all the right things like the guys would be wearing Chuck Taylors, they were skipping the guest book and having guests sign rocks, that Kristen's dress transformed from long to short, and especially that I would have the chance to work photograph the amazing work of Lee Forrest Design.

I met Lee about a year ago, and we've become great friends, but this was the first wedding that I had an opportunity to photograph his amazing work. He did nothing short of spectacular.

This replica Porsche has a bit of significance. First, on the license plate is number 117, Mitch's dorm room while he was in the military. Second is that Mitch's dad has a Porsche and Mitch was hoping that he might loan it to them for the getaway, but it unfortunately didn't happen. It's a good thing that this cake looked so amazingly real!

Did you know you can get customized Chucks now?

Mitch gave all of his groomsmen customized cufflinks. These were the ones that Mitch had for himself.

Dubsdread has some amazing light. I keep wondering what it might take to get a bride into those rafters. I feel like there is a picture to be made there at the right time of day.

Those rings aren't easy to hold on to. After letting it slip out of his hands when the pastor handed it to him, Mitch was quick to find it on the ground and get it onto his amazing brides finger!

First dresses have pockets, now they have removeable bottoms? This seems a lot simpler than bustling it up before hitting the dance floor.

This was such a cool idea. Instead of a guest book, they had their guests sign these stones.
