When you think of Kentucky Derby, the first thing that probably comes to mind is horses. Now think about what everyone is wearing, "big hats!" This made for an awesome theme to a wedding. Shelley and Jake were looking for a little something to make their day different and this was it. We love hats and all of the other little touches just made the day complete.
They also used a clean slate for their wedding by holding it at Shelley's uncle's house which sits on Little Lake Conway. This gave them the opportunity to decorate it however they wanted while having a gorgeous background.
One of the greatest thing about an outdoor wedding is that the wildlife is a wonderful self-invited guest.
These tea cups were Shelley's great grandmothers. What gorgeous centerpieces!
Love the flowers in the mason jars.
HATS are awesome!
Shelley surprised Jake by having some of his good friends play a piece during the middle of the ceremony.
Come back soon for part 2!
