Downtown Disney, Lake Buena Vista engagement session with Desiree and Nguyen-Vu

Sometimes things don't always work out like they are supposed to. We started out at Universal Orlando but ran into some speed bumps. We still made a few photos on their fun garages, but then we moved on to Downtown Disney. We weren't disappointed.

Desiree and Nguyen-Vu had a first date at Downtown Disney, so it had a lot of significance. I had only been there once before, so they gave us the tour.

They are both road cyclists, so Nguyen-Vu showed off some of his biking skills.

I think they scared the dinosaurs into extinction!

Don't run away!

That Tigger is a cutie!

It was great to have the sunset work with us.

We found a little corner to let them dance in.

Who could pass up a carousel?

We found a spot for a picnic blanket.

Love the light! Hard to believe we almost left without taking photos in front of this!

Outside the Ballroom: DeBary Hall

DeBary Hall transports you back to a time where cattle roamed the country side, families spent the afternoon watching the sunset on their front porch, and the only distant sounds you would hear was the distant clatter of a horse-drawn carriage on a balmy summer evening. Built by Frederick DeBary in 1871, the hall was originally used as the DeBary's winter retreat and was a popular hunting area for it's time.

Today, DeBary Hall holds as much lure and majesty as it did as a getaway for the rich in the 19th century. With its architecture preserved, DeBary Hall represents the classic Southern house with a wrap around porch, shuttered windows, and vast land full of trails to explore.

The best feature to make your wedding instantly transformed into the event the whole town would have been invited to celebrate is the renovated stable. Simple and tasteful, this space can be decorated to fit any style of wedding. DeBary Hall will have you and your guests running for the closest Old Time Photo store. Hey, there's an attire idea! Complete with the white, wooden Southern house, stable, and vast land, an Old South cowboy and southern belle themed wedding would be perfect.

For the full old time experience, if your guests arrive early or want to stay afterwards, DeBary Hall features activities such as guided tours of the history of the venue and town, and trails with pavilions designed after the original buildings.
