Storybook Album Designs

You feel the sturdy weight and smooth leather in your hands as you pick up your album. Turn each page and the day comes back to you; the tears that started to roll down your face as you turned the corner to see all of your friends and family with your man waiting at the end of the aisle; a tune by Duke Ellington coming out of a saxophone while you dance for the first time with your new husband; the cake which you scoured everywhere to find ideas for designing and then the taste of the white chocolate pieces as they melt in your mouth; and so many other memories.

An album is magical. It brings the story of one of the most important days in your lives back into the present. In 100 years when your grandchildren are wondering about the love of their grandparents, you can pull out this book and show them. You don't have to turn something on or find a file. At 12 inches tall, and 40 pages thick, it will probably be the biggest book on your shelf if it's not still sitting on your levitating coffee table.

We give you some options for telling that story. Each design conveys the story differently, so how do you want your day to be remembered?

P-1 - This is as simple as it get's. This is our proofing album. We include one full-frame image on each page. This is our beginning design and included with many of our Real Life Portrait Sessions. (20 pages/10 spreads will have 20 images)

P-2 - A modern and simple design. We use lot's of white space, double truck images, BIG images and no overlaying images. We will also fill pages with some images, making them square. This is great for guest books or if you are looking for a more modern feel. Each page tells the story from just one or two images. (20 pages/10 spreads will have 18-30 images)

P-3 - This step-up from P-2 includes more images on many pages. There is not nearly as much white space, images will overlap and whole parts of your story will take part over each spread. (20 pages/10 spreads will have 35-90 images)

P-4 - This is the king of our outside the box. We just tell our designer to go all out! He typically adds many graphical elements to really tell the whole story and really capture the couples personality. (20 pages/10 spreads will have 35-90 images)

Canvas prints by Pilster Photography

One of our favorite offerings is these amazing canvasses. The canvas material is stretched over a wood frame. It has the feel of a painting and only solidifies that your gorgeous photo is a work of art.

These are great to print as a 30x40 and just let them dominate your living room. You could also put together a bunch of 8x8 square prints and build a collage on any wall.

Here you can see what a couple of our past clients have done with them!

Key West Louvre Album of Tracie and Scott

Our Louvre album is the highest quality that we offer. The leather cover makes it feel like it could last forever.

This is a flush-mount album which means that each image is actually printed onto archival photo paper and then laid into this album. This gives each page a very heavy feel.

Additional options like a cutout image on the front and different colors are also available. We offer it in an 8x8, 10x10 or 12x12.

Signature Albums by Pilster Photography - Press-Print and Lay Flat pages

With our wide range of albums, the Signature press-print album is the perfect one to use as a guestbook, a real life portrait sessions, an engagement session or possibly duplicate your album and give to your parents. This album stands apart because the pages actually lay flat. The pages have a much more solid texture than your basic glossy paged book book.

We offer it in a 10x10 or a 12x12. A wrap-around photo on the front cover makes this the perfect choice to make this stand out.

Other Highlights -

•Available in 10” x 10” or 12” x 12”.

•Full-wrap photo-printed hard cover. Choose from glossy or satin finish.

•Any book length from 10 to 62 spreads (20-124 pages).

•Printed with “true color” ink for deep, rich colors.

•FlexbindTM technology allows every page to lay perfectly flat.

•110lb. acid-free archival stock with a soft feel and satin or gloss UV-protective finish for the pages.

•Includes an elegant presentation box with embossed cover.

Signature Photo Books use a special “Flexbind” paper and binding process to allow pages to lay perfectly flat when the book is opened. Pages feel soft and turn effortlessly. There is mini- mal image loss between pages, so you can have panoramic two-page spreads with a “wow” effect. Printed with cutting edge digital printers, your photos display true, rich colors, and the special acid-free archival paper preserves those colors for a lifetime.

Engagement session at the University of Florida at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida with Marla and Shannon

We originally started out planning to have Marla and Shan's e-session in Orlando, but some things came up. We ended up at the place that they definitely belong though. The University of Florida is really who these two are and once you flip through the images we made at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, you will see what I'm talking about!

Love this little beam of light coming through!

There is some cool architecture at this stadium, and we made it just in time for the sunlight to show it off!

Gators everywhere!

When at a football stadium, play football!

Marla could have carried him all the way to the endzone, she's tough! ;)

There is this great lake nearby...

although it has a few gators in it. I had to make this shot quick, because Marla was up on the sidewalk as this hungry gator started heading towards shore ;)
