Winter Park Farmer's Market, Florida part 2 of 2 wedding of Kevan and Jason Wedding

The edgy and vintage wedding of Kevan "Bettie" and Jason took place in October just a few days before Halloween. The wedding was reminiscent of an elegant, romantic Tim Burton movie.

These two chose some contrasting themes to add to their decor that balanced each other, like beautiful blood red roses, a vintage bird cage complete with a black crow perched atop it, a bedazzled skull sitting at the head of the happy bride and grooms table, a vintage telephone, a cake with skeleton bride and groom counterparts, and the bride wore a beautiful gown embellished with black lace.

Each of the tables represented a room in a haunted house. Kevan and Jason spent a year hunting for some of the items!

Although the ambiance of the reception decor was dark and twisted, there was nothing but pure happiness exuding from the couple, and the guests.

Featured: on The Lovely Find, Kevan and Jason's e-session

We are taking a break from Kevan and Jason's awesome wedding to share that their e-session has been featured in the Lovely Find. Talk about awesome timing that we are posting the wedding and then their e-session pops up as a feature!

Their e-session was almost as fun as their wedding. Jason found this awesome back road and fixed up an old car he'd been working on forever. He got the car working just in time for the engagement session and only as long as the e-session (I heard it stopped working right after!). So if you missed it check out our full post on it HERE.

Park Plaza Gardens, Winter Park, Florida part 1 of 2 preparation for the wedding of Kevan and Jason Wedding

Kevan and Jason are that perfect couple with amazing imaginations and awesome DIY creativity. No Kevan is not a he, although apparently Jason and Kevan can fit into the same sized pants. You can call her Bettie if you can't handle Kevan though.

When they put their mind to a theme, they knew what they were going for. With their wedding only a few days before Halloween they wanted a Tim Burton style wedding without being too commercial-Halloween. We will get more into that when we come back tomorrow.

Today I want to focus on the preparation. Even the hotel fell into their theme though. They got ready at a hidden little secret in downtown Winter Park. The Park Plaza Gardens hotel has some awesome history and would as a great backdrop to any horror movie. So this was the perfect place to get ready at and for some fun photos!
