Every once in a while we get a call to cover something a little bit different. With the Daytona 500 in town there are always a mashup of events. High Speed Hold'em at MG on the Halifax pitted drivers, celebrities, poker pros and one lucky fan against each other in a Pro-Am Texas Hold ’Em Style Poker Tournament with proceeds benefiting The NASCAR Foundation and Speediatrics. The grand prize for the tournament is entry into an Epic Poker Pro/Am event valued at $1,500!
The night started out with some of that crazy Florida weather. It had been a beautiful day, but this wicked storm came out of nowhere. It changed some plans we had, but it didn't slow down how much fun everyone had playing!
They also had a silent art auction going and these really cool iPhone like devices from BidPal that let them bid on the artwork while sitting in their chairs!
